With a yoga journey dating back to 1990, Juliet, the founder of Papakura Yoga Centre, exudes a passion for continuous learning. Completing her initial Teacher Training with the NZ branch of the International Yoga Teachers Association, she later delved into advanced studies with Donna Farhi and Restorative Yoga with Judith Lasater. Juliet's recent explorations include in-depth studies with Katy Bowman, Jules Mitchell, and Yoga Detour, infusing her teaching with a blend of natural movement, somatic awareness, modern biomechanics, and the ancient wisdom of Yoga. She encourages each person to meet themselves with complete acceptance whilst at the same time opening the pathways for transformation.
Janene began practicing Yoga in 1994. She completed her initial Teacher training in 2006. Since then she has taught at the Papakura Yoga centre.
Janene brings a high level of enthusiasm and attention to detail to her classes which her students appreciate and love her for.
In 2008 Janene completed an advanced teacher training with Donna Farhi. She continues to study with various teachers including recently Carrie Owerko and Yoga Detour. This ongoing self development deepens her own practice and understanding of Yoga, which she in turn shares with her students. She encourages her students to develop an inner awareness and acceptance of themselves enabling them to integrate Yoga into their daily life.
Jan has been practicing Yoga since 2005. She has completed a 200hr teacher training with RYS (Registered Yoga School of NZ) and is also a qualified Relax & Renew Teacher. In addition to this Jan has completed the Advanced Teacher Training with Donna Farhi.
Jan's determination to be the best she can be shows in her willingness to continue studying and looking for new ways to share yoga with her students.
Jan is a kind and caring person who always respects the individuals requirements. Her strength is her ability to communicate with people of all stages and ages in her classes.
Jessemey has been teaching yoga for the last 10 years. She originally started her training after living in NYC where she started to understand how a hectic lifestyle can lead to imbalances in the mind, body and soul. She has a passion for Ayurveda and brings this into her teachings helping people to realign and listen to their bodies own natural wisdom. She teaches in a serene manner and enjoys working with all levels and abilities.
In 2018 she completed a Teacher Training with Rainbow Kids in Melbourne as well as a training in Teen Yoga for Mental Health through the Teen Yoga Foundation England.
Luzette continues to learn and study the 8 limbs of Yoga. She is passionate about creating a space where everyone feels welcome and at ease. Off the Yoga mat Luzette enjoys Salsa Dancing, Karate, and Tai Chi. She brings a deep presence and mindfulness to her teaching ; along with a sense of fun as she embodies Mind, Body and Spirit of Yoga.
